Summary

Great introduction to trading system design. Not too complex, not too dry. Detail enough to be the text book on trading system design if it were used in a college degree course. The examples in the book are easy to understand even if you are not using TradeStation. Some statistics background necessary. Highly recommended as the introductory text for anyone interested in developing mechanical trading models.

One of the better trading system design intro for anyone interested in trading system development and deployment. Covered all aspects of trading system design in relatively understandable language for people without scientific research background. Example trading models are provided for open discussion. Highly recommended to not just those interested in systematic trading but also discretionary traders.

Naked Forex: High-Probability Techniques for Trading Without Indicators by Alex Nekritin and Walter Peters

Summary

A strong advocate of chart trading without using indicators. The point of view is not new, as it is the practice for majority of successful professional daytraders. It is, however, first time a book coming out to say that trading can be done with simpler and well defined trading plans based on several chart patterns only. I recommend this book to forex traders who find trading with indicators too confusing to follow.
