Summary
A guided tour on trading with technical tools by a trading veteran. The way the materials are presented makes you feel confident in the techniques but there is a lack of depth. Often mentioned is the online service provided by Mr. Person that makes it feel like he has withhold important clues on using those tools. Some people may find this book a good read and easier to understand comparing to other guided tour style introductory books.

Review
An introductory book on trading usually has to cover many aspects thus spreading thin across each individual topic. This book has good coverage of all the basic matters related to trading which is important for beginners. The author has also made reasonable effort in making sure the newcomers are aware of the risk associated with trading futures and other instruments.
Majority of the book explains the tools Mr. Person uses himself to analyze the markets. Many examples are provided with discussions on how to integrate the tools, multiple timeframes, etc. to trade properly. Here I find an issue with the book that it often mentions the web service / newsletter Mr. Person offers. Techniques he described in the book do not give the readers a roadmap to decision making themselves. Instead, the extra insights from his service are often needed.
His techniques are a set of common trading tools with his own twists. Readers will get a hint of how he is combining the tools together to improve his odds. I am sure Mr. Person has been using these indicators and tools for such a long time, he has internalized the interpretations himself. I cannot find guidelines on using the tools like he does to arrive at the conclusions he made in the book.
Overall a readable book for beginners but the sense of upselling his service has put a dent on the quality of the book.
